Good Movie Pick: Hot Fuzz

Hot Fuzz

We don’t just watch low rated movies, sometimes we watch movies that are actually good. It helps keep us sane. Every month we pick a movie that’s not just good, but something you should make a point to watch.

Ward’s pick this month is Hot Fuzz (2007) starring Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, and Timothy Dalton. Pegg plays Nick Angel, a┬áskilled London police officer assigned to a small town that ‘s harboring a dark secret.

Ward:
It’s clever, witty, and just fun. The humor is British, subtle, and multi layered while being endlessly quotable. It’s a spoof of action movies that pokes fun at the usual tropes before embracing many of those same tropes. If you haven’t seen this, you should. For the greater good.

Nico:
[Said with a straight face] Forgettable surface level comedy, but I like the guys that do it.

Ward:
I cannot comprehend that statement. This is one of the funniest movies, period.
